Disinfection of Plastic Materials

How to clean and disinfect your screens and face shields.
Disinfection of plastic materials
1) Plastic materials such as methacrylate, PLEXIGLAS®, polycarbonate, LEXAN®, Cliniwall, PET and PETG.
The ideal product for disinfecting these plastics is to use Isopropyl Alcohol, also called Isopropanol, lightly soaking a soft cloth, or spray, rub and let dry, without rinsing.
A "homemade" alternative to disinfect these materials is to use a solution of lye in water, (active ingredient Sodium Hypochlorite), in an approximate percentage of 2% to 5%, between 20 cm3 and 50 cm3 of lye per liter of water, even adding a few drops of neutral soap as a domestic dishwasher, to break the surface tension, leave it to act for a few minutes, rinse with water, clean and dry.
2) Other plastic materials such as PVC, you can use a 50% solution in water of Methyl Alcohol (Methanol), or Ethyl Alcohol (Ethanol). This is equally true for Polycarbonate, PET and PETG.
